Phoenix Bedrock project: Housing for youth research and modelling study

This report provides findings from a study aimed to highlight the trends in the housing market that creates and maintains youth housing supply, identify factors affecting the supply of appropriate and affordable housing options, determine what housing types and supports are needed for youth, and find examples of successful projects.

The study conducted in the Halifax Regional Municipality, draws on information from youth at various stages in their housing journey, housing and housing service providers from across Canada, Phoenix staff, and grey literature from a variety of sources. The findings show the current housing picture and identify potential paths forward.

Topics include: findings from interviews and comparison of housing models, review of prioritized housing models for youth programs.
