By Centre

On June 23, the Centre held its annual general meeting, where the 2024–2025 Annual Report was presented.

The year 2024–2025 marked a pivotal moment for the Centre. It was both the first full year of implementing our 2024–2028 Strategic Plan and the beginning of a new chapter under the leadership of Executive Director Lisa Ker. This period launched a new phase of growth, alignment and impact, focused on uniting the sector behind a bold long-term goal: ensuring that community housing makes up 20% of Canada’s housing stock.

“Throughout the year, our work was rooted in one powerful idea: transformation is not only achievable, it is already underway,” said Lisa Ker, pointing to the growing sense of unity, momentum and a shared desire for change that is increasingly felt across the sector nationwide.

In a context where housing is a major concern for both the public and political spheres, the Centre continues to pursue its objectives to establish an effective, resilient and inclusive models of community housing through deep collaboration, bold thinking, and systemic transformation.
