The Newfoundland and Labrador Community Housing Growth Fund (NL-CHGF) provides grants for community housing planning and pre-development activities in the province.
This program is a collaborative effort between the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Community Housing Transformation Centre, with the goal of fostering the expansion of sustainable, community housing in the province.
Objectives
The fund supports the planning and preliminary studies required for community housing construction. The NL-CHGF funds activities such as building condition assessments, environmental sites assessments and geotechnical studies.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible community housing organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador include:
- Non-profit housing organizations
- Housing cooperatives
- Non-profit organizations involved in the construction or management of affordable community housing
