This Housing Research Collaborative report explores shared equity homeownership (SEH) within the context of British Columbia and Canada. This research identifies key success factors for SEH programs, examines barriers to implementation, and provides practical tools such as a characteristic matrix and sensitivity analysis. The findings indicate that SEH could flourish with the support of lenders and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
