The Black Planning project is researching the factors influencing the low homeownership rate among Black Canadians. They invite industry professionals and Black individuals who have purchased or attempted to purchase a residential property since 2006 to participate in the study. The research aims to identify barriers to homeownership and examine the strategies employed by real estate professionals to address these challenges. The findings will play a crucial role in developing effective public policies that enhance the affordability and accessibility of homeownership, with a specific focus on improving opportunities for Black Canadians and other racialized individuals.
