It offers a selection of CMHC’s data on housing conditions and core housing need from 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996, and 1991. It differs from the fixed content of the Data Tables, as it lets users choose which data to analyze and explore. It helps to identify trends in housing in Canada, which can be used to inform policy, research, and decision-making. HiCO data are available for a large number of geographic areas, including all Census divisions, Census Metropolitan Areas, and Census Agglomerations.
