This Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) plan highlights socioeconomic, legal and historical arguments to support six specific calls to action with clearly identified costs, savings and benefits for building Indigenous-owned and operated community housing.
The plan was created and prepared by consultants Daniel J. Brant and Associates and a Steering Committee composed of ONPHA’s Urban Aboriginal Housing Advisory Committee members. It was developed with the support of the Canadian Housing Renewal Association (CHRA), Ontario Indigenous housing providers, Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services (OAHS), and the Catherine Donnelly Foundation.
