Ontario Urban & Rural (OUR) Framework : First Nations, Métis and Inuit housing policy

The Ontario Urban and Rural Framework (OUR Framework) guides work in supporting the well-being and self-determination of Indigenous peoples living in urban and rural areas in Ontario. It was created by the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO), the Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA), and the Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres (OFIFC).

The framework is based on the principles of Indigenous self-determination, cultural safety, and community-led approaches and emphasizes the importance of community engagement, partnerships, and collaboration.
