This Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC) research brief examines the barriers to accessing housing across Canada experienced by 2SLGBTQ+ adults. It highlights the experiences accessing holistic housing across the life course from emerging adulthood to old age, and differences in housing support between high-density urban areas and lower-density rural areas. The report examines the facilitators and barriers to holistic, thriving-oriented vs. survival-oriented housing. It also recommends co-designed solutions to improve housing access and quality for queer communities.
