The Rural Housing Information System (RHIS) is a data tool designed to address the shortage of proper housing data in rural Ontario. It supports municipalities, developers, organizations, and builders in planning and developing affordable housing. The RHIS includes a public dashboard that harnesses data for strategic housing development plans. The tool is currently accessible to rural Eastern municipalities, with plans to expand to Western Ontario.
