Resource Inventory Manager:

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Resource Inventory Manager is responsible for aggregating, cataloguing and coordinating an online index of documents, videos and other media relating to the provision of community housing and related support services. This role turns vision into action by driving initiatives that promote the use of the Resource Inventory through curated webinars, workshops, and communities of practice in the community housing sector.

Location: Canada

Position Type: Full-Time, remote, with occasional travel

Key responsibilities:

  • Research the web, partners, and resources to identify, and catalog resources (guides, webinars, how-to’s, blueprints, research, etc.) that are relevant in the sector to the Resource Inventory (index). Maintain and update the Resource Inventory and ensure links are not broken. Supervise the translation of the catalog.
  • Provide tools and share knowledge and expertise with the sector so organisations can accomplish their mandate with a certain autonomy, to facilitate scaling, and create community of practice around different subjects, like development, equity, finance, etc. Use the Resource Inventory in convention conferences to share knowledge and support conversation around certain subjects.
  • Manage and collaborate with IT on the design, enhancement and maintenance of the Resource Inventory user interface.
  • Promote the Resource Inventory through outreach, communities of practice, etc. Create kits on different subjects to share knowledge and build community.
  • Establish relationships with relevant partners and communicate regularly with partners to provide updates on new resources that would be beneficial to them.
  • Identify relevant pedagogical content for the sector and collaborates with subject matter experts to develop high-quality, sector-specific learning materials that support capacity building.
  • Contribute to the Housing Academy by producing and sharing pedagogically sound knowledge content—such as webinars, videos, and open-access resources—that support sector-wide learning and cultural transformation.
  • Promote knowledge transfer, advance best practices, and champion values-based leadership, equity, and innovation. Supports the development of a shared vision for the sector by translating complex ideas into accessible formats that shape mindsets, values, and practices.
  • Coordinate studies to better understand the Centre’s impact on the sector, utilise data in the Centre’s CRM to identify trends, and link the Centre’s knowledge and experience to external research and resources.
  • Keep up to date on the housing sector as it pertains to provision of community housing (co-ops, non-profits, and community land trusts) and related support.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Project Management, Urban Planning, Political Science, Sociology or relevant experience related to the position;
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the organization and coordination of services;
  • Pedagogical experience or coursework is an asset, including the ability to translate expert content into engaging learning materials.
  • Understanding of how people learn and interest in supporting knowledge-sharing in the community housing sector are valued;
  • Knowledge of the community-housing sector;
  • Knowledge of database processes;
  • Communication and project management;
  • Understanding of academic research is an asset;
  • Good command of Office 365;
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is an asset;
  • Fluently bilingual (verbal and written) in English and French;
  • Adhere to the Centre’s values, mission and general orientations.
