Dami Dabiri

Dami is passionate about decarbonizing the built space. He brings to the BC REC role his chemical engineering background and extensive experience with deep energy retrofits. He is committed to supporting the non-market housing sector through the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects in partnership with affordable housing providers.
Irfaan Hasham
CHF Canada - Housing Co-operatives (all regions except Quebec)
Irfaan is a seasoned energy professional with extensive experience in both the consulting and utility sectors. As a Regional Energy Coach, he has helped housing co-ops secure millions of dollars in funding for energy retrofits while supporting their efforts to reduce emissions and improve building performance. He has also worked with leading property managers across Canada to deliver impactful energy savings in commercial buildings. He holds the designations of Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), and Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP).
Jennie Laurin
The Centre - Quebec and French communities across Canada
With a strong background in project management and organizational development, Jennie brings valuable experience in the community housing sector and a commitment to advancing initiatives at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and social equity. She recently coordinated a research and development project focused on collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches to collective real estate projects – including community housing retrofits and new builds. In this role, she led multi-stakeholder collaboration, developed practical tools, and facilitated knowledge sharing within the sector. Through her role at the Centre, Jennie is motivated to help build the capacity of community housing actors through grounded, hands-on support.
Kayla Fayant
Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) - Northern and Indigenous Communities
Kayla Fayant (she/her) is the Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) Regional Energy Coach supporting Indigenous and Northern Communities. Kayla is a Métis woman from Fishing Lake Métis Settlement and in her time working in her home community, she gained interest in clean energy, energy efficiency and housing.
She joined the Bringing it Home team at ICE 3 years ago and has been supporting Indigenous communities’ participation in the energy efficiency space since through ICE’s Regional Energy Advisor Training program, curriculum and resource development, the Healthy Energy Homes project, and supporting other ICE programs.
Kayla uses her experience working in community and knowledge of energy efficiency to support Indigenous communities across Canada working towards energy efficiency.
Majed Hargaaya
The Centre - Ontario
Majed has spent 15 years working in Sustainability, not only on all project phases but with the perspectives of architecture, engineering, and construction professions. He is experienced in guiding the establishment of sustainability objectives for new and existing buildings, promoting those same principles among all project stakeholders, as well as integrating them into every aspect of project design.
He has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a focus on Sustainable Buildings from the University of Manitoba, has a LEED AP Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C) from the Canada Green Building Council and is currently pursuing graduate studies at Harvard University. He brings his passion for sustainable design into the community housing sector as a Regional Energy Coach.
Neha Prakash
MNPHA - Prairies
Originally from New Delhi, India, Neha Prakash has an extensive expertise in energy efficient buildings, sustainable architecture, project management, and city planning. She holds a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s in Project Management, and a Bachelor’s in Architecture. Neha is also a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP).
With over a decade of experience, Neha has led initiatives in net-zero building design, sustainable urban development, and green building certifications. She is a passionate advocate for climate adaptation and resilience, with a strong commitment to supporting smaller and underserved communities across Manitoba.
In her current role as Regional Energy Coach – Prairies at the Manitoba Non-Profit Housing Association (MNPHA), Neha provides coaching and technical services to affordable housing providers across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Her work focuses on driving energy-efficient capital improvements and fostering long-term sustainability in the housing sector.
Outside of her professional life, Neha is an avid traveler and culinary enthusiast. She loves exploring new cultures, connecting with inspiring people, and curating unforgettable travel experiences.
Jesse Galati
The Clean Foundation – Atlantic Canada
Jesse Galati is a passionate advocate for helping people create more energy-efficient, comfortable, and resilient homes and buildings. Jesse is familiar with working alongside contractors to troubleshoot challenges and support the completion of HVAC and building envelope retrofits. Jesse brings expert-level knowledge of flood-resiliency measures, including mechanical systems, landscaping strategies, and home-level risk reduction. With a degree in human geography, Jesse also understands the deep connections people have to place, which helps make energy efficiency advice more personal, relevant, and achievable. The combination of technical understanding with strong communication skills will help support successful project at any stage of development.
