The Manager of the Regional Energy Coach (REC) program reports to the Director of Programs. The Manager works closely with internal teams, regional energy coaches, and external partners in supporting the planning, coordination and execution of program activities, with a focus on partner engagement, capacity building, and program promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance and development of the Centre’s REC team through ongoing feedback, regular check ins, and performance reviews to support professional growth.
  • Manage relationships with FCM and service delivery partners, including establishing communication protocols, developing partnership agreements, maintaining feedback loops, and ensuring alignment and compliance with contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and program deliverables to support a dynamic and evolving approach to continuous improvement in the REC program.
  • Coordinate, chair and represent the Centre at all REC monthly meetings and quarterly meetings of the Steering Committee to review program progress, discuss strategic initiatives, and solicit collective decisions to inform workplans and program strategies.
  • Onboard new RECs, Regional/sub-sector Service Delivery Partners and other team members into the REC program, including the monitoring and evaluation approach and responsibilities, peer learning, resources, etc.
  • Coordinate and plan an annual in-person or virtual meeting/retreat for RECs, with input from RECs, partner organizations and FCM.
  • Lead regular reviews and reassessments of program strategies, allowing for dynamic adjustments to address emerging challenges, capitalize on opportunities, ensure alignment with program objectives and the Centre’s strategic direction.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of the REC program against predefined milestones and goals.
  • Initiate strategic initiatives that support the collective priorities of affordable housing providers in their efforts to advance energy efficiency within their projects, in collaboration with Delivery Partners and FCM.
  • Work towards building awareness and support for the program within the community housing sector and related industries, including representing the REC Program at meetings, conferences, and other relevant events.
  • Capture and share program insights, lessons learned, and emerging practices to strengthen sector knowledge, inform program evolution, and support broader organizational learning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams working on energy efficiency and related initiatives to promote alignment, information sharing, and a cohesive organizational approach.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration, environmental studies, urban planning, social sciences, or related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience in program coordination, project management, or related roles.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability, and affordable housing issues is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset
