Black community housing advisory table

The Black Community Housing Advisory Table (BCHAT) is a collaborative initiative established in 2021 to address and eliminate housing inequities affecting Black residents in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. It brings together a diverse group of stakeholders—including social service and housing providers, developers, planning professionals, government representatives, and community leaders—to identify the housing needs of Black communities and offer informed guidance to improve access to safe, secure, and affordable housing.
