Technical guide for Northern housing

The guide provides best practices for building solutions in Northern house construction to meet housing codes and standards, community-based house designs by Indigenous architects based on consultations with Indigenous communities, and information on governance and challenges of construction in the north. The development of the guide was led by the First Nations National Building Officers Association (FNNBOA). The guide has 14 booklets that aim to cover the distinct challenges of all northern and remote regions, including the arctic and subarctic First Nations and Inuit Nunangat regions. The guide also includes 11 technical books covering house design and construction processes.
