Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) hosts this NHS project profile presenting the goals of the Solutions Lab “Affordable Housing Renewal,” led by the Pembina Institute for Appropriate Development, which explores innovative tenant-occupied retrofits for multi-unit residential buildings in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Lab builds on the Dutch Energiesprong method to develop net-zero energy retrofits that improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance tenant well-being without displacement.
