As part of a growing and dynamic pan-Canadian organization, the Project Lead will support the Centre’s mission through advancing projects that benefit and grow the community housing sector. Reporting to the Manager, Development, this position will be responsible for a range of projects and will primarily focus on Project Portrait – a practical, sector-informed tool that helps community housing organizations better understand their buildings, energy performance, climate resiliency needs, and opportunities for sustainable investment. This position will play a key role in coordinating project activities, supporting partners and participating organizations, contributing to data-informed decision-making, and ensuring that Portrait continues to respond to the needs of the community housing sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the successful delivery of Project Portrait while advancing the Centre’s initiatives in building performance, energy efficiency, climate adaptation, retrofit readiness, renewable energy, and sustainable community housing.
- Implement, coordinate, and continuously improve Project Portrait and Energy Star Portfolio Manager (ESPM) and related climate resiliency, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives, as required.
- Coordinate project activities with participating organizations, internal teams, property managers, technical experts, technology partners, research partners, funders, and sector associations to ensure successful implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Integrate and maintain technical data from ESPM, dashboards, spreadsheets, and other project management systems to support analysis, reporting, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate the collection, organization, validation, interpretation, and documentation of project data, including energy consumption, GHG emissions, building characteristics, and other relevant information.
- Document processes, lessons learned, risks, data limitations, assumptions, and improvement opportunities to support replication, accountability, and knowledge transfer.
- Guide participating organizations in understanding, preparing, and sharing building, portfolio, energy, and operational information needed for Portrait and related tools.
- Identify emerging needs, barriers, opportunities, risks, and promising practices related to climate resiliency, energy performance, data quality, and sustainable housing in the community housing sector.
- Prepare reports, summaries, recommendations, awareness tools, funder updates, and knowledge-sharing materials related to Project Portrait and other initiatives as needed.
- Understand and adhere to the social values and strategic objectives of the Centre.
Qualifications:
- University degree in environmental studies, sustainability, community development, urban planning, public administration, housing, social sciences, business administration, or another field related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Familiarity with Energy Star Portfolio Manager, energy data, data quality processes, dashboards, or building performance information is required.
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Experience in project leadership and management, project coordination, data-informed project delivery, fund administration, community development, climate resiliency, energy efficiency, sustainability, or related fields.
- Knowledge of the community housing sector, non-profit housing, co-operative housing, or community-based organizations is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, retrofits, renewable energy, climate adaptation, greenhouse gas reduction, building performance, real estate asset management, or sustainable housing is a strong asset.
- High degree of independence in the organization of work.
- Experience working with funders, government partners, technical consultants, community organizations, or sector associations is an asset.
- Experience collecting, organizing, validating, interpreting, and presenting data for reporting, planning, evaluation, project implementation, or decision-making purposes.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, recommendations, summaries, and briefing materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, grant management platforms, data dashboards, or project management tools is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required for this position.
