About this opportunity

RentSmart is a recognized tenancy education program designed to build a combination of life skills, knowledge and confidence in tenants and landlords through certified Community Educators. The program’s cornerstone is a Train-The-Trainer course designed to equip educators with the knowledge to offer the RentSmart Certificate and supplementary courses in their communities. The program was interrupted by the previous provider in 2023. The Community Housing Transformation Centre acquired the rights to deliver RentSmart and now plans to relaunch, rejuvenate and extend the program reach throughout Canada.

As the manager of the RentSmart program, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all RentSmart courses nationally (starting with BC and Ontario). You will play a key role in expanding the program to every province and territory by working closely with various partners and stakeholders. You will play a lead role in developing and supporting a network of Community Educators, continually striving to make tenancy education successful and impactful. This position reports to the Director of Development.
